Designer’s Notes

What a Wonderful World was written in 1967, in a time of social change that was challenging the strength of the fabric of our country. Louis Armstrong was chosen to record the piece because of his ability to reach people across many barriers.

My designs this year are reminiscent of faded polaroid photographs in a stitch that resembles woven fabric. Rather than a longing for “the good old days”, they represent an
authentic and heartfelt hope for the better, new days to come. I hope you enjoy them.
