Skills required
Long-tail cast-on
Simple lace (yarn overs and decreases)

Gauge
18-22 stitches in 4 inches of blocked stockinette (corresponds to gauge in lace pattern)
Gauge is not critical but will affect your finished size and yardage required. Because yarn classified as DK has a wide range of thicknesses/appropriate gauges, a chart is provided to help you determine your cast-on number and the corresponding yardage.

Materials
Approximately 180-220 yards of DK yarn (samples were knit in Miss Babs Yowza – superwash merino and Knit Picks Capra – merino/cashmere)
US6/4 mm or US 7/4.5mm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge with a length of 24” or less
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Blocking supplies

Stockinette gauge/approximate yardage/circumference for possible DK gauges
(Height will be between 9 and 11 inches as written)
22 stitches in 4”/220 yards/20 inches
21 stitches in 4”/220 yards/21 inches
20 stitches in 4”/200 yards/20 inches
19 stitches in 4”/200 yards/21 inches
18 stitches in 4”/180 yards/20 inches
