This hat is a fun and quick knit. The beauty of Spincycle yarns is that no 2 skeins (even in the same dye lot) are alike. The change in colors within each skein always makes knitting an extra enjoyable experience. I love that my tech editor Heather and I have similar humor. While editing the pattern she had ‘The Time Warp’ from Rocky Horror Picture Show playing I her head, because the crown of the hat is all left leaning brioche decreases. Hence the name, ‘It’s Just A Jump To The Left.’

Yarn
Yarn used was Spincycle’s Dyed in the Wool. Each skein is approximately 55g and 200 yrds.
LC: Time Bomb
DC: Nostalgia
Dyed in the Wool is classified as a sport weight but can be substituted by many different weights of yarn. Any 2 fingering (sock) weight, sport, or DK yarns can be used in lieu of the 2 yarns I used. You may need to adjust needle size.

Size US 4 (3.5mm)- 16” circulars
Size US 4 (3.5mm)- dpns
Darning needle, scissors

Gauge
Approx. 10 sts and 16 rows = 1” in brioche st
After blocking.

Finished Size
Fits up to 23” head
