IYKYK = if you know, you know

IYKYK is a celebration of texture and special hand-dyed yarn. I was inspired by a combination of older designs of mine, Misnomer and BRB. The stitch pattern from Misnomer is gorgeous in the BRB boomerang shape – my favorite shawl shape to make and wear! All surrounded by i-cord edges, including my special seamless i-cord tab cast on. I recently dyed this new Kacey Knits Yarn colorway Galaxy, and I was determined to create another shawl that works with variegated yarn. Any weight, any size, use those cherished skeins and make a super wearable or giftable piece. If you know my work, you know this is going to be a fun, easy, satisfying project that you’ll want in every colorway!

This boomerang shawl is worked from corner to edge and is shaped using increases and decreases. All-over texture and i-cord edges look and feel amazing!

Designed for two special DK skeins, but grab a third skein and simply keep going if you want to make it bigger! Some testers had to bind off a little early, some were able to make slightly larger shawls with 200g.

This shawl is knit at a slightly tighter gauge to create this yummy texture. Go up a needle size if you’re a tight knitter, or down a size if you’re a loose knitter.
