J. ALBERS SHAWL
This pattern will guide you in creating a triangular shawl worked in garter stitch, enriched with stranded colorwork squares.
This two-coloured shawl takes inspiration from J. Albers’ work, “Homage to the Square: With Rays”, blending geometry and colour into a harmonious dance. The use of two different colors adds depth and contrast, transforming the shawl into a textile interpretation of modern art.

MATERIALS
• 4.00 mm (US 6) needles, or size to meet the
required gauge
• Yarn A: 1 skein of mYak Lace, 50 g per 350 m
(383 yd), 100% Tibetan yak
• Yarn B: 1 ball of mYak Fiocco di Cashmere

The shawl shown in the photo was made with Yarn B (blue) in the Borrowed Light colorway and Yarn A (red) in the Brick Dust colorway.

GAUGE SWATCH
Knitted in Garter stitch with 4.00 mm (US 6) needles, with one
strand of A + one strand of B:
22 sts x 28 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Maximum length, measured from the point to the bind-off edge: 145 cm (57”)
