DESCRIPTION
I would love to take all the credit for this design, but I do have to thank my partner for at least part of it.
I love knitting for him, and he is very (very) particular! So when I told him I was going to knit a new sweater for him, he was definitely going to take part in the designing process. I loved the sweater so much, I thought I would make it into a pattern so here it is:
This beautiful all-over cable sweater features a saddle shoulder and a folded collar, complete with a short zipper opening to help achieve this “outdoors” traditional look.
The sweater is worked from bottom-up and sleeves are knitted separately and joined at the underarm.

The sweater is designed to have about 16 cm / 6 in positive ease
Yarn:
Wool of the Andes Sport by Knit Picks, 100% Peruvian Highland Wool, 125 m / 137 yds to 50 gr, colorway Mink Heather (man sample) or Camel Heather (woman sample).

Needles:
Main needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles (cable length: 80 cm / 32 in, 40 cm / 16 in and 23 cm / 9 in.).
Ribbing needles : 2.75 mm / US 2 circular needles (Cable length: 80 cm / 32 in and 23 cm / 9 in.)
(Adjust cable length to suit knitted circumference.)
Notions:
7 removable markers, plus 1 unique marker, Cable needle, tapestry needle to weave in ends, scrap yarn or extra cable to put sts on hold, 12 cm zipper.
Gauge:
23 sts and 28 rnds to 10 cm / 4 in on 3.5 mm / US 4 needles in pattern
Techniques:
Backwards loop cast-on, Knit, Knitting in the round, 2/2 Long tail tubular cast-on, M1P, SSK, SSP, K2Tog, P2Tog, Picking up stitches, Purl, Tubular bind-off, knitting cables, sewing a zipper, reading charts.
