Reach for the sky with some help from Jack.

Taking in a pantomime show is a Christmas tradition for many families, and I have chosen a few of my favourite characters for this year’s Panto season. The cast of this Pantomime includes Jack, Beanstalk, Goose and Golden Eggs, and of course the traditional pantomime cow.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dolls are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The beanstalk’s vines are i-cord tubes which are worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES:
A pair each of 3mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Yarnsmiths Create DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; One 100g/290m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, plus buttons, and beads for features and decoration.

SIZES:
One size only - From 2.5cm to 26cm tall. Heights of each toy are Jack 14.5cm, Goose 7.5cm, Golden Egg 2.5cm, Cow 12cm and Beanstalk 26cm.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners/intermediate and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping, knitting stripes, knitting i-cord, and mattress stitch seaming to finish.
