Notes on construction
Jacquotte is a classic modified drop-shoulder sweater with a boat neck. The armhole shaping reduces some of the extra fabric that can usually be found at the armholes of drop-shoulder sweaters. The sleeves are relatively skinny, to counterbalance the loosely fitted body. The sweater is worked in four pieces: a front, a back and two identical sleeves. All the pieces are worked flat from the bottom edge up to the neck and seamed together at the end.
