This is the hat pattern ONLY! For the cowl, please see this pattern: Jamestown Cowl.

The Jamestown Hat is a slouchy hat with colorful stripes shaped by short rows. Four stripes in two contrasting colors widen and narrow in different places thanks to the use of the short row technique, while rows of broken rib in a neutral main color alternate with garter- and stockinette stitch for texture. Knit in the round in a worsted weight yarn, the Jamestown Hat is a quick knit and particularly fun if you enjoy knitting short rows. The hat comes in three sizes. If you like this hat, you might also enjoy the matching cowl pattern Jamestown Cowl which can be found here: http://www.woollymammothknits.com/jamestowncowl.html.
