Jan Uitham finished second in the Elfstedentocht of 1963. His image struck me when searching in the archives of the Royal Library of The Netherlands in The Hague. Especially the sweater and hat he was wearing…

Uitham (born Jan 2-1925) is still alive and in his sporting career he managed to skate the Elfstedentocht seven times.
