Jane Austen Mitts
I designed these mitts for a Jane Austen brunch, hence the name “Jane Austen Mitts.” They are perfect for a bride, a chilly yet elegant typist--or for any knitter who enjoys a small, amusing project.
Yarn weight determines the size:
• For a small, choose a sport weight (6 stitches per inch).
• For a medium, use DK (5.5 stitches per inch).
• For a large, go with worsted (5 stitches per inch).
Beads are optional but encouraged!
Directions are provided for knitting back and forth with seaming, along with notes on how to convert to knitting in the round. Either method works beautifully!
