With a small skein of handspun, you can knit either of the variations of this simple hat. Both versions are begun at the top, and are worked in the same way until the end of the band. The Tab-Button version has a longer band that overlaps itself and is held in place by a large button that is sewn through both layers. The Simple version has a shorter band that is seamed end to end.
