Japanese Batwing Sleeve Coat & Accessories
One of my designs from the book Travellers Yarns.
Inspired by the Japanese kimono with its dropped sleeves and tapered body shape. Loose and comfortable and very stylish to wear, Knits up quickly and the placed stranded patterns are very effective and easy to knit.
Around the World: Japan
This dramatic full-length coat knitted in wool, tweed, and chenille yarns, has wide kimono sleeves and features eye-catching Japanese symbol motifs, also used on the headband, gloves, and shoulder bag.
