This is the November 2015 SKA Mock sock for the “fraternal” challenge. You’ll need a single skein of sock yarn and the needles that help you work it into a nice fabric. Solid or tonal skeins are probably best so you can see the pattern, but gradient yarns should be awesome as well.

Pattern bits will be posted to this page on the 1st, 8th, 15th, etc. of November.

Update Nov 1 at 4:53 east coast of the US time - Leg setup round 2 of the RIGHT sock should say ktbl p3 10 times, not 8 times. I will fix this on the pattern and update it as soon as I have the chance to re-check the 72 stitch sock setup rounds.

Update Nov 14 at 10:21 east coast of the US time - charts are now correctly labeled with left and right. I did not update clues 1 and 2 (for those still working on them) but instructions on how to reorient socks are included in clue 3. I also fixed a small error in the right (formerly left) chart that was brought to my attention by marydear.

Update Nov 17 at 12:01 pm east coast of the US time - Posted a modified version of clue 3 called 3.1. Gusset instructions are now included for the 72 stitch sock (sorry about that) and I changed some language about where the decreases go and changed the “knit in pattern” language to “knit stitches as you see them.” Nothing was incorrect in the pattern, so if you are doing fine with version 3 keep on going!
