A dramatic lace stole that’s a showstopper in one 500-yard hank of Stitchjones Merino-Silk Worsted Single. Worked at a slightly smaller gauge than most lace patterns. This design was inspired by and named for our dear niece Jennifer Lynn Spence, who passed away at the age of 23.
Eighty percent of the proceeds from the sales of this pattern will be divided equally between the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org) and Childhelp (childhelp.org), a worldwide organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Jennifer’s Story
Our dear niece Jennifer was a talented painter who graduated from Cornish College of Art in Seattle. At the age of seven, she fought for her life in pediatric intensive care and was diagnosed with acute Type 1 diabetes. After her death, we learned that Jen and her sister had been subjected to domestic violence as children. Their appeals for help not only went unheard by extended family, but the girls were silenced and forced to hide the abuse. This further shortened the life of a young woman medically traumatized in childhood. By purchasing this pattern, you are helping bring hidden abuse to light and giving a voice to Jennifer’s story. All donations to JDRF and Childhelp will be made in her name. Blessed be.
