Jerez Pullover
Columnar post stitches morph into cables in this top-down raglan. Fingering-weight Merino yarn is perfect for this piece—it’s light enough for a garment that isn’t too bulky and makes for super-squishy cables.

NOTES
-
Sweater is worked in joined, turned rounds from the top down with raglan shaping. Sleeves are also worked in joined, turned rounds from the armhole down toward cuff.
-
For a better yoke fit, neck ribbing back stitches are worked in double crochet (dc) ribbing, sleeve stitches transition half way across from dc ribbing to half double crochet (hdc) ribbing, and front stitches are worked in hdc ribbing.
-
For raglan shaping, work 1-stitch increases on every round for sleeve sections, work 2-stitch increases on right side (RS) and 1-stitch increases on wrong side (WS) rounds for front and back sections. Integrate increased stitches into cable pattern as soon as a full repeat is possible. Work stitches outside full cable pattern repeats at raglan, body, and sleeve seams as dc. Move markers up as work progresses.
