Asymmetrical triangular shawl with different sections in garter or brioche stitch and a lace border.

The Jeune Pousse (=young sprout) shawl will lead your way through a blooming journey.

Evolving from a little spring sprout to full-grown foliage over the knitting, it will wrap you and keep you warm and cosy throughout the cold winter months and allow you to bloom again when the Spring comes back.

This asymmetrical triangle shawl is worked sideways. Starting from the point, its rather steep increase rate allows the shawl to drastically grow while working through the different sections. It features two simple brioche stitch patterns and a large but easy-to-remember lace border.

Skills: (bolded skills are detailed in the pattern)

• I-cord selvedge knitting
• Lace knitting: basic increases, decreases, yarn overs.
• Brioche Knitting: basic brioche stitches, simple increases and decreases.

Yardage: 700-800 m / 766-875 yds of fingering weight yarn equally split between both colours.

Sample Yarns: Greta and the Fibers Socks Premium Chalky (75% Wool, 25% Nylon – 400 m / 437 yds & 100 g per skein), col. 729 (Flamingo Pink, MC) and 528 (Aruba Blue, CC).

Needles: 4.0 mm / US #6 - at least 80 cm / 32” circular needle to knit the shawl.

Other Notions: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Evoluant d’une petite pousse printanière jusqu’à un feuillage fourni au cours du tricot, il vous entourera et vous gardera
au chaud pendant les longs mois d’hiver pour vous permettre de vous épanouir de-nouveau lors du retour du printemps.

Ce châle asymétrique triangulaire est travaillé en biais. Commençant par la pointe, son taux d’augmentations assez
élevé permet au châle de grandir très rapidement lors du tricot des différentes sections. Il est constitué de deux motifs feuillus au point brioche et d’une bordure de dentelle large dont le motif est facile à retenir.
