Guardian of children and travelers, Jizo statuettes are common along the roadways of Japan. This seemed like the perfect tribute piece to make in reference to pregnancy and infant loss. Inspired by the SIDS death of my own son 12 years ago, as a symbol of a mother’s love and guardianship, I hope this little Jizo brings you peace and blessings.
