Joining Bees and Things
The key to nature’s therapy is feeling like a tiny part of it, not a master over it. There’s amazing pride in seeing a bee land on a flower you planted - but that’s not your act of creation, it’s your act of joining in.
- Victoria Coren Mitchell
This is a pattern for a top down circular yoke cardigan. Stitches are cast on for the rib neckline, then short rows are worked for neck shaping. The yoke chart is worked in chosen size and then sleeve sts are separated from body sts. Underarm sts are cast on/picked up and each element is worked separately to the edge rib, before bind off.
Since it is top down, sizes may be easily adjusted for best fit. If you need more room over the body or upper arms, simply cast on/pick up additional sts after the yoke is worked. Conversely, you have smaller arms and need fewer sts, do not work the last increase over the yoke chart.
