Discreet shirring at the edge of the drapey funnel neck, hem and cuffs creates gentle waves on this relaxed pullover – or knit the split rib hem on the slightly cropped version (find instructions for both in the standalone pattern)

Jolt of Blue is a slight variation on the classic Ziggurat construction. The softly sloping shoulders extend, each in turn, from the collar, which is knitted first. Cap and front stitches are picked up on right-side rows. Less zigging, in other words. But no less exciting.

The intense colour of Walk Collection’s single ply Cozy Merino is a statement in itself. No need for fancy stitches – plain and simple stocking stitch does the trick. Or…go subtle and knit in the muted palette of Pascuali Balayage.

By the way, the blue Jolt was unintentionally knitted tighter than pattern gauge. The lilac Jolt is knitted to gauge with the intended ease.

Jolt of Blue has sisters: Petrichor (also in the book) and Jolt of Gold (additional eBook bonus).
