“It was like one week we’d never heard of it, and the next week everybody started to die.”
— Cleve Jones

Skill-level: Intermediate, due to cable work, chart reading, and sock construction
Materials: 350-400 yards or 320-360 m of sock yarn; socks pictured are a size large and used approximately 380 yards of Malabrigo Sock yarn in the color Ravelry Red.
Needles: US1 (2.25mm) sock needles— the pattern is written for either DPNs or Magic Loop
Tools: Cable needle, if necessary, tape measure, scissors, tapestry needle
Gauge: 8 stitches & 12 rounds per inch (2.5cm) worked in stockinette stitch
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, Extra-large) sizes measure approximately 8(9,10,11) inches or 20.3(23,25.5,28) cm in circumference, leg height, ankle depth, and foot length are all adjustable to fit and preference.
Sizing note— although the cable restricts a certain amount of the stitches, the ribbing makes this a very elastic sock— if in doubt, size down.
