The vest starts at the back with a provisional cast on. The back is then split into two at the neck and the two fronts are worked separately with increases for a deep v-neck. Back and fronts are then joined at the underarms and the body is knit in the round to desired length with a slip stitch on either side of the body. Stitches are picked up along the v-neck for the neckband. The neckband and bottom rim are folded double with a decorative picot edge.
