Josie Sweater
“Josie” is a modern, casual, easy to wear sweater, one that you can dress up or down depending on the mood.
It is knitted in two different yarns held together which create yet different look. Sock weight yarn gives it structure and the mohair/silk yarn adds beautiful halo and extra warmth.
Simple slip stitch pattern in which the whole piece is knitted in adds lovely texture and interest.
The construction is very basic, a modified drop shoulder with minimal shaping that should be easy enough for knitters who are just starting to venture into the garment knitting.
The sweater is knit bottom-up and in the round to the armholes and then split for front and back. Sleeves can be knit either flat or in the round separately and then set into the armholes.
