I purchased a skein of Huacaya alpaca during a trip to Canada last summer. It was very expensive and I wanted to design something special of it. As I started to knit up a stranded color pattern for it, using some Drops alpaca with it, I thought how lovely it would look on my friend Josie, with her beautiful, red hair and striking blue eyes.

Josie is the founder of an organization “Rescue Her” that strives to battle against the blight of human trafficking all over the world.

It then occurred to me that I might be able to use this pattern as an opportunity to support the Rescue Her mission. To that end, I am making this pattern very inexpensive, hoping that will encourage many sales and ALL of the money I receive from the sale of this pattern will be donated to Rescue Her
