Julia Arrowhead Lace Scarf
A simple lace scarf, perfect for beginning lace knitters.
Includes both line-by-line abbreviated instructions and a chart.
Easily modified for length, width or gauge.
Constructed as one piece, using a traditional arrowhead lace pattern, of 8 row/10 stitch repeats.
Needs Blocking.
Stitches used
Knit, Purl, YO (yarn over), and SK2P (slip one knit wise, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the K2tog)
Scarf shown is 3 reps wide, but this is very easily modified for width.
Try it with various yarn thicknesses and needle sizes too - Arrowhead lace looks good tight or loose, fat or skinny - Have fun!

Aprox 125 yds (114 m) of fingering or sock weight yarn
~ Sample used a fingering alpaca from Frosen Acres Alpaca Farm in Oak Harbor WA
US 8 (5 mm) Needles
Row counter
Darning needle – to sew ends
Blocking Equipment
Measurements/Gauge
Gauge not critical – but does affect size and yardage.
Finished sample measurements after blocking:
6.5” (16.5 cm) wide, by 49” (124.5 cm) long.
