Juniper is an unbelievably soft, wrap-style vest; perfect for warding off chills. This pattern was inspired as an eco-friendly alternative to a poly fleece vest. Because it’s knit with plush yarn full of texture, the design is clean, simple, and quick! Start with the upper back a la Cocoknits Method, and knit down to the underarm. Each front is picked up along the shoulder slopes and knitted separately down to the underarm where everything is joined and finished seamlessly. Wear it open or add a cord to overlap the fronts and tie it closed.

BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PATTERN
This sweater is worked using a modified Cocoknits Method, a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. Juniper does not require the Cocoknits Worksheet, but does require an understanding of the first two sections of the Cocoknits Method.

All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to the pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Purchase Cocoknits Sweater Workshop or visit your local yarn store.

US 5 / 3.75 mm needle for working bind-off
US 0-3 / 2-3 mm double-pointed needle or any length circular needle for picking up stitches

Notions
8 Stitch markers: - including 4 opening markers
Row counter (optional, but the rows are very hard to see in such textured yarn - so recommended!)

Gauge
Version A: 11 sts = 4” / 10 cm in St st on largest needles
Version B : 9 sts = 4” / 10 cm in St st on largest needles

NOTE: Row gauge for both versions is 16 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st on largest needles. It is not terribly important, if it is too difficult to measure, follow directions for measurement rather than row count where it is given.

To ensure correct measurements and yarn quantity, take time to swatch!
