Just for Fun Balaclava was just that for me. I was working on a large knitting project, and just needed a little break. My cousin had sent me a message and asked me if I could make a hat for a friend of hers that was having chemo. After some going back and forth about inside versus outside hats and color likes and dislikes, this is what I came up with. I used 2 different of Lion Brand Mandala Ombre, Happy and Mantra, 100% acrylic and very soft and washable. The ears are optional, but fun.

Materials
2 100 g skeins of worsted-weight yarn held double or 2 100 g skeins bulky-weight yarn
Size 9 US/5.5 mm 16-inch circular needle
Size 9 US/5.5 mm double-pointed needles
Size J/10/6mm crochet hook
