It took three tries to get this pattern right, which is why I call it the ’Just Right’ Big Head Hat (you know, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears). I created this pattern because I was on vacation without Internet (and Ravelry) access while knitting it so I had to improvise. It was designed exactly how my husband wanted it. Big and baggy (his exact words actually).

The ribbing is knit with two strands, one DK and one fingering weight (both washable). It is a great way to add a bit of color to the hat. The yardage range is if you choose to include the fingering yarn in the ribbed edge or not. I am the only one to test this pattern and do not have a digital scale so these yarn estimates are only estimates. I estimated HIGHER though so anyone looking to make this will know 200 yards DK and 90 yards fingering will get the job done.

Because this is something I designed for my personal use, it is free for your personal use.

This pattern has not been tested. It is just the result of the notes I made while knitting the Just Right hat. When I make another, I will add errata, if necessary.
