Pattern Notes
Juxtaposing is a garter stitch triangle composed of smaller triangles, with a firm, contrasting i-cord border, which is work with yarn held double. The two smaller sizes have elongated ties so they can be worn as a kerchief or a headscarf.
Start by knitting one triangle, then pick up stitches to knit a second triangle to form the bottom tip. Other than at the edges, triangles are worked as pairs using techniques similar to knitting mitred squares, but with a colour change in the middle. This creates a clean colour change, with garter ridges of adjacent triangles running perpendicular to one another. Use the diagram to assist with orientation: throughout the pattern reference to top edge, lh edge etc refers to the project looking at it as shown in the diagram, with the right side facing.
