With its starfish-like shape, the Kaaterskill Shawl may seem like a leap in difficulty, but it’s really not--instead of having one center “spine” like a triangular shawl, it has three. After it’s finished, you’ll want to block this shawl and pin it out to accentuate the points.

The contrasting color in this shawl is only used for the bind-off. This means that you don’t need a whole skein of that color on hand--it’s a perfect opportunity to use coordinating scraps left over from another project. Just make sure you have at least 5 - 10 g (the kitchen scale is your friend).

Skills Used:
garter tab cast on (photo tutorial included!)
yarn over increases
k2tog tbl (through back loop)

Notions:
stitch markers (6)

Shown in colorways “Kaaterskill” (main color) and “Auburn” (contrasting color).
