Note- if you are going to sub yarn, make sure to do a moss stitch swatch first- you may need to go down a few needle sizes. Also if you are a loose knitter, the same would apply.
I knit tight and the thickness of the brooks farm yarn holds up with the moss st, however- a finer yarn will not!!
