This design has been commissioned by a friend, who makes the most delicious chocolate and refuses to wear ugly chef’s caps.

Kakao is cocoa in Ukrainian. It’s a very light and breathy reversible spring-summer beanie. If made from mohair, silk, fingering weight wool or cashmere, it would be a great light and warm beanie. Worked seamless in the round.

Size: one size (to fit 54-58 cm head circumference).

Yarn: Vivchari Etno Cotton 1500, 35g, ca. 265 m, 70% cotton, 30% linen, held twice to achieve fingering weight; or any similar fingering yarn.

Needles and notions: 3.0 mm circular or double pointed needles, 1 stitch marker.

Gauge: 24 sts and 36 rows in 10 cm with stockinette stitch after blocking.
