Kaleidos is an elegant star shaped shawl. Worked from the nape in radiating wedges, it has lace panel inserts that form kaleidoscopic patterns at the increase and decrease lines within the star shape.

Delicate eyelet rows can be worked into the star shape whenever you like (every other RS row), and the lace can be extended to any size you like.

It suits two contrasting solids, or a solid and a variegated or gradient yarn. Optional light beading adds a hint of sparkle in the lace panels.

Only one colour is worked at a time

Can be worked entirely from written pattern, or from chart with some notes.
