Kaleidoscope is the perfect knit for those gorgeous variegated skeins that are so hard to resist. The faceted texture of the hat showcases the uniqueness of multicoloured yarn while preventing the dreaded pooling effect.

This hat is created by working the brim flat and then picking up the stitches along the brim edge to work in the round. The kaleidoscope pattern of the hat is created with a slip stitch pattern which is worked in the round with 1 colour at a time. The hat can be worked in 1 colour or 2.

Notions: stitch marker, 3/4” button, cable needle, yarn needle
Skills Required: slipped stitches, Judy’s Magic Cast On (optional)
