If you try to knit this pattern on needles larger than Size 0, it will turn into a snood! A wonderful one, but pretty much too large for most heads… even my big one! ;-)

(If you have long hair, you can use a ribbon to tie the back with the hair inside.) I may include some photos which illustrate this in the Flickr set for the pattern.
