Cardigan body is knit in one piece from the bottom up. Sleeves are knit from the bottom up in the round. After joining body and sleeves together, the yoke is worked seamlessly to the neck with raglan shaping.

Short row shaping is used throughout the pattern to compensate for the differing row gauges of garter and stockinette stitch. The pattern is written to use yarn over short rows, but you can substitute the wrap and turn or Japanese methods if preferred. The German method is not recommended for this design.

This is an advanced pattern requiring the knitter to work fairly complex short rows and shaping at the same time.

Shown in color no. 18. Requires 10 (11, 12, 13) skeins.

Additional gauge: 8.5 sts and 12 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
