Things to start with…
This pattern was used in a class on Stranded Colorwork during the Kanuga Knitting and Quilting Retreat, January 2019. The class contained both beginning and intermediate students and the two versions of the pattern were designed to accommodate both skill levels.

The fingering weight version has finer yarn, more colors and therefore more ends to work with, and more motif repeats.

The DK weight version has slightly heavier yarn, three colors, and only six motif repeats. Both versions produce and slightly slouched hat that will keep your head warm and your wardrobe colorful.
