Beautiful cable winter leggings or trousers, these are thicker than ready made leggings and can be a warm layer in the winter. Beautiful with the cable detail running on either side, relatively quick and easy to knit. We use these all the time in the colder months as a staple piece. Wool is perfect to help regulate the temperature going between the cold outside and the warm indoors. You can knit them in untreated worsted weight wool on the denser side and use as a soaker/longies.

Yarn: Heavy DK to light worsted weight yarn. The Salmon coloured sample is knit in Sandnes Duo (200 meters/100 grams, 50% wool, 50% cotton)

Gauge: 21 stitches / 10 cm

Needles: 3.0 mm and 3.5 mm or sizes to obtain gauge.

Yardage: (100, 120, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600) meter is an average but depends on the yarn etc

Sizes: (40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80. 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140) cm. The sizes refer to the length of the child according to European standards. The sizes approximately correspond to age (preemie, preemie, newborn, 3m, 6m, 12m, 18m, 2y, 4y, 6y, 8y, 10y). Made to fit waist circumference: (31, 35, 40, 44 46, 50, 54, 56, 60, 62, 64, 65) cm.
