Inspired by small blue Karner butterflies, Jennifer created an eye-catching design worked first back and forth around the leg. Stitches are picked up and worked down to the toe, with a contrasting color for the heel and toe.

Yarn Anzula Squishy (80% superwash Merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 385 yd 352 m/4 oz 115 g): teal (MC) and maple (CC), 1 skein each.

Needles U.S. size 1 (2.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; waste yarn for provisional CO and peasant heel.
