An interesting scarf/shawl that looks great knitted with an Aran weight tweed yarn. The stitch pattern on the scarf’s center is surrounded by two small cable stitch borders which partly form a cable sling that avoids slipping off the shoulder.

Materials

• I used 10 skeins of BC yarn Hamelton Tweed 1 (90% wool, 10% rayon) with a yardage of 109 yds 100 m/50 g
• US size 8 5,0 mm circular needles
• 3 stitch holders
• 1 cable needle
• tapestry needle

Gauge

1 pattern repeat of cable B (31 sts and 32 rows) = 6¼” in width and 7” in height 16 x 18 cm after blocking
