Kazuye Boho Statement Earrings
The Kazuye Crochet Earrings are oversized statement pieces, featuring a fan-shaped top with 2-tiers stacked below it. You have the option of adding a contrast beaded edge that can be added to any edge you like.
Suggested Yarn Weights- A full pair of earrings require 14-16 yards of either super fine weight (#1) for large earrings or fine weight (#2) for medium earrings, approximate finished sizes are:
- Large earrings - 3” length, 2-⅜” width
- Medium earrings- 2-¾” length, 2-⅛” width
Crochet Hook Size - A 2.75mm/C-2 hook size was used. (You may also use a 2.2mm/B-1 with the
sock weight or for a smaller overall earring size.)
Level Of Difficulty - This is an intermediate pattern utilizing basic beginner stitches but requires closely following the pattern, careful use of stitch markers and keeping a close eye on whether you’re working the right or wrong side.
About This Pattern- This pattern is worked from the top loop down. You begin by creating the first chain of stitches which then becomes the finished top loop. You continue working back and forth, building from the top/center, moving outward. You have a number of options in this pattern. The first is the size; using sock weight yarn will create a fairly oversized earring by most people’s standards. If you want a bold, super-sized statement piece, use a sport weight yarn (these earrings are great for leftover yarn as they only use about 15 yds for the pair.)
