KC Top
This fun top has a lace body with movement and a stranded color work cowl which can be worn as a traditional cowl, off the shoulders as shown or draped off of one shoulder. Any way you wear it, have fun with the knit. Kits are available on my linked blog.
Supplies:
Yarn: Yarn Fairy Elf Merino, 100% merino, sport weight, 288yds/100g
MC Luscious 2 (3, 4, 5) skeins, CC Brushed Steel (or Lavender) 2 skeins
Needles: US size 7/4.5mm circular for body and color work in cowl
& size 5/3.75mm circular for cowl welt
Gauge: 18 sts, 22 rows over 4 inches lace in the round in lace. Or size needed to get gauge-crucial- do not go forward until this works out. Stretched fabric which has been relaxed.
Blocked and pinned out hard: 13 sts, 20 over 4” in lace. Over color work gauge will shrink a bit, you should be fine to continue as you have started.
Sizes: S (M, L, XL) 30-34 (36-38, 40-42, 44-46)
Finished Measurements: bust 30-34 (36-38, 40-42, 44-46) length about 23”
Fae level: Intermediate/Advanced
Skills Needed: Reading from charts, lace, stranded color work and previous garment construction crucial so that you can edit the sizes as need be.
