KEATON VEST

The Keaton vest has a boxy unisex fit, a low v-neck and dropped shoulders. It is knitted in an all-over classic cable pattern.

The Keaton vest is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The back and front are knitted flat down to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and the body is knitted in the round. There are two options for the hem ribbing: in the round or a split hem. Lastly, stitches are picked up from the neck and armhole edges and worked in the round.

The Keaton vest can also be worn as a sleeveless summer top. For a summer version I would recommend a cotton, viscose or linen blend; for a warmer wintery version choose yarn with high wool content.

3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6) skeins of Pom Pom Linnea DK (233 m / 255 yards per 100 g; 70% organic wool, 30% linen), shown in colorway 2105 Dyyni, or 660 (720, 790, 870, 960, 1060, 1160, 1280, 1410) m / 720 (790, 870, 960, 1050, 1160, 1270, 1400, 1540) yards of similar DK weight yarn.

Needles

3.0 mm / US 2.5 circular needles with a cable of 40 cm / 16 inches for the smaller sizes and 60 cm / 24 inches for the larger sizes for the neckband and armhole edges

3.0 mm / US 2.5 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for the bottom ribbing

3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles with a cable of 80 cm / 32 inches for the smaller sizes and 100 cm / 40 inches for the larger sizes for the main part
