Laine Let's Crochet! Issue 2
> Kelenner

Kelenner
This crochet shawl is built around simple yet expressive stitches. Carefully repeated, they form a delicate pattern inspired by Breton lace headdresses, evoking the finesse and geometry of traditional ornaments. The motif gradually unfolds, giving the shawl its harmonious and airy shape.

NOTES
The shawl is worked like a pixel grid, in what is known as “filet crochet”. Filet crochet is made up of filled (solid) squares of double crochet stitches and open (empty) squares made up of several chain spaces, gradually forming a pattern. With each row, the grid grows by one “pixel” tall and one “pixel” wide. The graphic design emerges row by row, revealing itself slowly. Work is increased by 3 sts each row.
