Kelp is a shawl to suit the knitter’s mood in any given moment. Designed to work with the yarn you have on hand or a skein that calls to you from your local yarn shop, you can cast on and have a lovely shawl rippling around your shoulders in no time flat.

Yarn and needles needed

  • Approx 400 yards fingering / Size 6 needles
  • Approx 540 yards sport / Size 8 needles
  • Any weight desired, 2-3 skeins in sport or heavier. Bulky may take 4 skeins. Choose needles based on your desired drape and feel. Don’t be afraid to pick a needle size and knit away, as the drape of this wrap flatters and flows.

Instructions for lace pattern are fully charted and written line by line.
