Kheer - An Indian Dessert
Kesar - Saffron

The Vermicelli Kheer is a dessert cooked in every household in India using wheat vermicelli, milk and nuts. Saffron strands enhance the flavour and colour of this recipe.

Texture and colour of thin Vermicelli floating in the Kheer, the beautiful saffron flower and strands of saffron inspired me to design KHEER KESAR MAT.

This Mat is designed using a mix of Tunisian and simple crochet techniques.

YARN USED

I used @Anchor Knitting Cotton 4060 and 4057 from @Pradhan Embroidery Stores.
Any Size3/Size5 and Size 10 Cotton yarn or any Acrylic yarn of similar thickness can be used for this project.

HOOK SIZES

Tunisian Crochet hooks: Size 4mm and 4.5mm
Crochet hook: Size 1.75mm
