This is a pattern for an ornately cabled stole. The cable is combined with a Japanese lace ladder stitch, which compliments the cable nicely.

This stole is knitted with sport weight yarn. The stole is approximately 17 inches inches x 68 - 76 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and requires approximately 1000 - 1200 yards. The focal cable stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney.

The stitches are both charted and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling .)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. This is the ONLY crochet in the entire pattern: The optional edging.
