Kid's Classic
Kids and teens need refined knits, too! Elegant lace meets playful ribbing in this versatile pattern for kids 2-14.
This pattern has two views - an A-line dress and a straight-waist sweater, and two necklines. If your kiddo is cool with a snug neckline going over their face, you can work the round collar. If you’d like a little extra headroom, work the keyhole neckline.
CONSTRUCTION
Kid’s Classic is worked flat in pieces and seamed using set-in sleeve construction. Stitches are picked up and worked for the collar. Stitches are also picked up and knit for the keyhole facing and buttonhole, which are worked with applied i-cord and regular i-cord, respectively
PATTERN OPTIONS
Two Views
Kid’s Classic comes in two views - View A is an A-line dress, View B is a straight-waisted pullover.
Two Necklines
Knit the simple round collar or work a collar with a keyhole neckline and button.

YOUR BEST FIT
Choose the size closest to the actual chest measurement: 20.5 (21, 22, 24) (26.75, 28, 29.25, 31) inches / 51.5 (52.5, 55, 60) (67, 70, 73, 77.5) cm
Kid’s Classic is designed to fit with approximately 1.75 (1.25, 1.25, 1.5) (1.75, 1.5, 2, 1.75) inches / 4.5 (3, 3.5, 3.5) (4.5, 4, 5, 4) cm of positive ease at the chest.
Note - children’s sizing is based on chest circumference, and kids can be all different heights for any given chest circumference. I recommend looking at the schematic to see if you should shorten or lengthen the sleeves or body.
