Although this pillow has an intermediate skill level, it’s easy if you consider it as three sections -- Front, Back, and edging.

The diamond-like Kilim pattern resembles the designs of many cultures -- for example, it could be a Native American or a Middle Eastern design. In slightly different colors, the pattern might be Scandinavian or even Scottish.

The color pattern on the Front of the pillow is worked using the intarsia method, in which the yarns are not carried across the back of the work (as in the Fair Isle method). Since the color changes are simple, this is easy intarsia knitting. Any unevenness caused by changing colors is eliminated once the pillow is felted. The striped Back gives you a break from the intarsia Front.

Pattern calls for 5 colors (1 ball each) of Donegal Tweed.
