Kindling Stockings
This pattern is included in my new book, Cozy Cables. You can purchase the printed book here.
Like kindling for a fire, these stockings will warm you up from your toes to your lap. Worked by holding worsted weight with lace weight mohair, these are the perfect project for spoiling yourself. Who needs an afghan when you can wear these soft and beautiful stockings by the fire? This pattern is charted and includes written instructions for both feet.
CONSTRUCTION
These stockings are worked in the round from the toe up. Judy’s Magic Cast-on begins these stockings and shadow wrap short-rows make up the heel. This pattern is written using the Magic Loop method but DPNs can also be used. The pattern will direct you on how to distribute the stitches. Written in one adult size, additional stockinette stitches can be added for extra width. The footbed is adjustable from a women’s size 8 to 10. A basic formula is supplied for working the leg increases but feel free to work these
without them.
